Sound safari

Sounds are everywhere – metallic, deafening, rhythmic, subtle, soothing. Sounds of all shapes and colours, of varying intensity and length. Yet capturing them is whole different kettle of fish. Sounds surge unexpectedly before fading away, they mingle, hide or seem to vanish into thin air. In the company of seasoned sound recorder Félix Blume, the festival has set up a unique safari to capture sounds that convey moods or acoustic stories – more specifically, however, those sounds that evoke the Belluard Festival and Fribourg during the summer season. Fribourg thus becomes a giant playground for all avid sound collectors.
